Concrete Virginia is Richmond’s premier concrete contractor, specializing in the full spectrum of concrete applications–from driveways and patios, to sidewalks and walls. In the project you see here, our client’s porch was stable, but in desperate need of repair. Concrete Virginia refurbished this porch with a simple concrete overlay, transforming the space to an extraordinary finish and saving the client thousands of dollars over alternative materials, like stone or pavers.
So how does the overlay process work? First, we peeled off the old ceramic tile. Next, we installed rebar to lock the new to the old. We then set a form to allow for a minimum coverage of concrete. Next we customized a color to complement the exterior of the home. To create a grand feel, the concrete was textured to look like slate. We then incorporated a border and gave that detail a broom finish. Finally, we sealed the porch, which enhanced the color and texture of the new concrete.
The end result was spectacular.
Why is concrete becoming the material of choice for so many homeowners and businesses? New technologies give you extraordinary design options, and concrete finishes can now look as real as stone—at a fraction of the cost!
Whether you’re updating a sidewalk, or planning a complete hardscape overhaul, we invite you to visit concreteva.com (concrete v-a dot com) to discover how concrete can transform your home.
This is our first time lapse build for StyleCraft Homes. We are more than half way done with this shoot and the footage is great so far!
We had two camera’s on-site for this amazing transformation of the front entrance to Stockner’s Nursery & TWIGS Garden Center. All work was performed by Stockner’s employees. Watch as all of the divisions play a role in creating our entrance. It’s to include design, irrigation, lighting, landscaping, hardscaping and more!
Here is a sneak peak of the movie trailer from April 3rd, 2011.
I plan on posting a video of all the speakers soon!
