We have created a video and time lapse movie of the weekend of July 24-25, 2009 at the NATIONALGUARD.com U.S. Drags II at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Virginia. We are a proud sponsor of the 41 Willis for OTGracing.com out of Powhatan Va.
The American Drag Racing League (website: www.adrl.us ) is the nation’s premier sanctioning body for the sport of eighth-mile drag racing.
Now in its fifth year, the National Guard ADRL plays host to the country’s top professional drag racers as they compete for one of auto racing’s most prized rewards – the Minuteman – which is handed out to each event’s class winner.

The Banshie of Glenndale did a custom paint job on a ’68 Camaro that is called The Undertaker for Tommy Gray Racing. This job took about a month to shoot with two cameras going. This was our first auto time lapse and we are looking forward to shooting more!
Someone has asked Chuck why didn’t he do the color fade first with the yellow and green and then do the red graphic?
The reason it was done that way is because all the graphics are applied first. This eliminates overlapping which saves on overall paint weight. Its a lil’ harder and more time consuming though. We’ve been able, through this process to get funny car paint jobs to around 6 1/2 to 8 lbs overall with clear and bodywork. A decal wrap on the other hand can get up to 20 to 25 lbs.
