ConcreteVA.com has done it again….After many many years of having nothing but a dirt and rock path to my man-cave, I now have a beautiful red brick stamped sidewalk with an extra pad on the side that will be my practice chipping tee area with synthetic turf to hit off of.

One of the best things about this is not having an 18′ step going into my garage.

This is our third movie for ConcreteVA.com and our first shoot of a patio. It was a three day shoot with two cameras on site. We had 8834 images to shift through to make this movie!

Here is a quick view of the concrete pour for a sitting wall around a 125 year old tree. It took some detailed planning for the hole footings for the wall.

That was the key to this project, because you don’t pick where the holes go, the tree does. Finding those holes where we could keep the form work symmetrical around the tree was a bear.

We were unable to install a typical footing for this project because of the large tree roots. When we finally got around to pouring the wall we put sand at the bottom of the forms over the tree roots. This will give that beautiful old maple some time to grow before it will affect the wall.

This series of photos show a pouring of a sitting wall. What a job. The wall is formed around a 125 year old maple tree. The wall is a monolithic pour. That means the footing, wall and bench top are all poured at the same time.

We were on-site all day for this job and had 3 cameras filming a time lapse that we will post soon!

This time lapse was a one day shoot in Williamsburg Va with two cameras. It was shot for the new website: ConcreteVA.com This is our second video with them. (See the first one here)

The curbing you see here is the slant style curb with the brick stamp finish. We also used a Belgian texture roller with charcoal release. Upon finishing we apply one coat of solvent based acrylic sealer. Please take notice: we install around existing landscaping without any disruption of the existing plantings. One thing I am always proud of is the way we leave the project. At the end of the video please observe the condition of the landscape with the new edging, spotless and neat.
